Three Rivers Technology Conference (TRETC)

FIRST Robotics Competition challenges students to design, build, and program a high-functioning robot under real-world constraints. Building the robot is always a means to building students. FIRST robotics exemplifies the spirit of service learning, project-based learning, and many other educational buzz words. When industry professionals join students in their work and facilitate their community outreach efforts, they shape students and shape the future. We will discuss the future building power of programs that immerse students in authentic problem-solving scenarios and we will ideate toward better integration of such programs in our school communities.
